Overall, happy with the lights. It was easy to install though they tangle easily. There is an awful chemical smell to them. I left them outside for two days but there is still a lingering smell. I’m hoping it will go away eventually because it’s terrible.The remote is a bit sensitive. You’ll have to aim in to the outlet to turn off and on but not a huge deal.I like the setting options and it’s great sleeping lighting.

These lights are the most beautiful of all of this type. I am extremely happy with this product and have compared them to every other icicle type light out there. I read the reviews about problems untangling them, so I first unwound the string, hung them, and then untied the lights, which took about 8 minutes. Bought these for Christmas lights. Big mistake. The default mode is change between all the modes. This means your lights blink like crazy if you have the lights on a Christmas light timer. You have to manually change the mode each time to steady. Also they were rusted after leaving on the gutters for 5 months. Might be decent indoor lights but absolute trash in terms of outdoor Christmas lights. Unpacking/untangling them also took forever. Looked nice though minus all the negatives.

These are pretty decent for the money but the thing that bugs me the most is your last setting is forgotten when powered off. I have these on automatic timers and every time they turn on it cycles through all the modes which ends up strobe lighting my neighbors. I wish either the default was solid on, or there was a way to remember the last setting (maybe a physical toggle switch).I’ve been looking to replace the led controller with one that’s just constant power but no luck so far.

When I received these icicle lights, it took me two hours to untangle the strands from the length of lighting wire. First neg. Once that was accomplished and I took them up to my gable , I had to shorten the strands near the ends as the gables come down toward the roof and the icicles are mostly two or three different lengths, better for a straight or flat roof, but not for a gable. Very nice! I like this product a lot just because it adds some aesthetic to my room and the lights can be dimmed so its comforting at night if they are too bright. They have multiple settings so it can fit any kind of mood, would look especially pretty if I had gotten sheer curtains, but i got these to just go above my bed. Overall i use these everyday and they are really good as a college dorm decorations, tacks and tape worked well to keep them up and sturdy. Have not fallen yet.

buyer beware. If you are going to put these on your house, these lights do not synchronize, and they reset every time you turn them off. Some connections have a plastic protector to make sure the wires don't snap. The protector should be on ALL the lights and connections, but obviously, this was not the case with the item I received. The lights are cute and I really like them. I just wish they were of the bare minimum quality. I also wish the switch on the outlet had an off feature. It just cycles through light patterns, which is nice. But I'd like to turn it off without needing to unplug it each time.

These are impossible to untangle out of the box, so have patience. I used twist ties to group the star ends which made it easy to install.The LEDs are bright but the default setting is blinking. If you want to use a timer, everytime they come on, the lights will be blinking. There is no remote control, so you have to go to the outlet to flip through all the settings to get to solid on. Surprisingly disappointed. I bought 2 boxes 1 week before Christmas and was pleased with the brightness, look, and length. I struggle untangling them but they look great when i put them up. I had a high hope of reusing these lights next Christmas but when i bring them down today, i notice many bulbs already have burnt marks. Product poor quality starts to show in less than 3 weeks. I couldnt keep them anymore. Disappointed. Returning.

I would think that it would be better to wrap these lights around a cardboard piece or something so that we can just unwrap it instead of trying to untangle it when you can't even tell which end to start from! I started one end but that was quickly stuck in between wires/lights so I started the other end, then got some help from my husband who said forget it, we'll never get this untangled. I will continue to try when I have extra time, but this may not be one in time for this Christmas.

Great lights once you get them untangled. Took hubby and I hours to get them straightened out. I feel like whoever wrapped the pm and put in box must have been high as a kite because they had no clue and to be honest after the 1st hour I wanted the trash the damn things. Wow—these lights were a nightmare to untangle and put up. They were a hot mess in the box. I was close to putting them back in the box 3 times and saying forget it! Be ready for a fight if you buy these!

The end result is beautiful and pretty much worth it. Got these to put in my nieces bedroom. They are adorable and a great alternative source of light that is bright enough to even read books by. That said.these could be packaged a lot better to limit the amount of tangles. I gave a 5 star just for the fact I loved having this on at night. Other than that,I didn't care for it. It wasn't easy to hang above my windows. And the worst part was they would get tangled up so easily. When I went to take it down it became so tangled up with itself. I had to use scissors and cut it down. It was just a pain in the ass.
