The 3M polishing system is probably the best available for a perfect finish. Color coded polishes, these pads are quick to use and designed for multiple jobs.

I've been using old wool pads for many years, but when I finally switched to foam pads I noticed results immediately. Easier to use, less buildup and a smooth finish. The newer versions with their waffle finish are a big step forward and deliver better shine with less swirl and less heat build-up.

Revain Prime delivery was quick. Received 1 pad for each color (white - composite black-polish blue-yellow), it corresponds to the color of the 3M bottle cap. The pads are very durable. After using them, I put them in a gallon ziplock bag so they don't dry out. They last really long. I use them for polishing epoxy and my car.

I have great confidence in all 3M products. These three pads give me and help me to do a very good job and project on my three cars. Each foam pad must be used with the correct 3M "Compound-39060" (white cap), "Polish-39061" (black cap), "Ultrafine Machine Polish-39062" (blue cap). It's easy to guess because the caps on the pastes are the same color as the foam pads (see picture).

These pads are good for polishing car clear coat (after using another thick coolant). I've used polish with these pads to restore the clear finish and the results have been surprisingly good. You will most likely be pleased with the performance and grip of these pads (I've done two runs on a big car and the pads are still usable - won).

I wish the seller had pictures showing the back (semi misleading). Only the bluish pad has a notch/soft side. The other two pads are cheaper and thinner. Check out my photo to see how thin they are compared to other 3M pads. I didn't even know 3M had notchless pads so I didn't check when I ordered them. If you need cutouts/soft sides you need to order 07738 for blue, 05733 for black and 05737 for white. I would call this lesson 50-50. I wasn't aware that 3M makes notchless pads and the seller…

I have 1 good blue pad good for polishing. The other 2 (black and white) are cheap fake 3m pads. They fall apart if I only use them for half the car. A good pad is thick and has indentations around the base. The other 2 are just flat and make the pad bounce all over the place. I can tell it's fake as the blue one (great seal) came in a 3M plastic bag and the other two weren't in the official 3M bag. I would really like to return these 2 pads, keep the blue one and find a real white and black…
