The float was broken in the packaging. I reused the original float but the needle valve would not close and fuel was leaking from the carburetor. I had to buy an OEM kit to get decent parts.

Do not buy This kit was purchased primarily to replace gaskets when I was cleaning the carburetor. The seals do not fit like the original, so fuel leaked around the seals during reassembly. Replaced by old seals, mounted without problems. I should have just paid extra for genuine Tohatsu parts.

Used to rebuild a 2006 Nissan 9.8 (Tohatsu) 4-stroke. Parts looked the same and in general "came up". After putting it together and putting it back to work, it leaked really bad. I have accumulated fuel in the hull. I ended up disassembling the carburetor and putting back the old needle and float bowl gasket to stop the leaks. float chamber seal does not fit (you can see the difference if you look at the picture beside) The float is a universal adjustable float (original pre-installed) with no float sensor and no instructions on how to adjust. The needle valve will not work with the original float although it will fit the port and will flood the engine when starting. The side cover gasket will fit and the main jet o-ring will fit.
