4 PIN AMP Waterproof Relay Harness Review

This is not the first product I have bought from these guys and I have to say I appreciate the looks. The wires in the harness are 10 gauge and the trip wires are reversible, if your switch is grounded or live when activated they are definitely waterproof and time will tell the internal circuitry. But by the looks of it, it was a good buy.

I used this relay to power some of the daytime running lights that I added to my Jeep Wrangler. If I connected it directly, the light would draw too much power. The only instructions required are product images, ie. circuits. In my case I connected power and ground to the battery terminals, powered the control signal from Aux 1 (cigarette lighter socket) and powered the headlights so that when the key is on the headlights are on.

The plug was not plugged into the relay housing when delivered. I had to play around with this for about 30 minutes, first trying to figure out how this thing is put together, pulling out the paddles so I can bend them and push them so they fit right so they fit into the relay housing. and strike.
