Disappointing Performance of Lubricant

As an Industrial and Scientific user, I was unimpressed with this silicone grease. Through trial and error, I found that it did not provide the level of lubrication needed, causing delays and issues in the production process. The only positive aspect was its durability, but that alone does not make up for its lack of efficacy.

Pros
  • Durable
Cons
  • Insufficient Lubrication

Dow Corning #4 was perfect for what I needed.

A little thicker than expected (grease for rubber seals and preservative). Dow Corning #4 was perfect for what I needed.

Pros
  • Dielectric compound used for insulators and bushings; as a lubricant for high current circuit breakers
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Happy to replenish my stock

I have used Dow Corning 4 and 5 silicone greases for waterproofing, lubrication and electrical insulation since the 1960's. I am happy to resume my deliveries.

Pros
  • Helps prevent marking
Cons
  • Slightly torn
