Description of πŸ’ͺ Buna N O-Ring with 405 Durometer Measurement

Made of Buna-nitrile (also called Buna-N) for use with a variety of fluids and hydrocarbons. Can be used across a wide temperature range from -30 degrees F (-34 degrees C) to 250 degrees F (121 degrees C). Round in cross-section to provide a seal between cylindrical overlapping surfaces. Durometer (hardness) of 70A for resistance to penetration. Meets standards defined by Aerospace Standard AS568A.

Affordable good quality o-ring

Required a 30 year old 2" o-ring for the air compressor connection. So I bought this and another that was half the thickness. The other one fits better, a little bit this one. Very good quality at a very good price.

Rigid O-Ring

O-Ring was slightly stiff even after soaking in silicone grease for several days. So if you're using an application that requires some size tolerance, I recommend buying it as close to the size you need as possible. All in all, this is a good buy.

Good source for large o-rings

This was for a hand held shower head on a limited production foot spa faucet. Individual parts were not available individually. I measured the old ring and was able to match it perfectly with this seller's online information. This ring not only seals the case, but also acts as a bumper to protect the enamelled tub in the event of a fall. The fit is perfect and the shower head is ready for another 15 years.
