🔧 KNIPEX Tools - Precision External Circlip Pliers, Straight, Shaft Dia. 1 37/64"-3 15/16" (4911A3) Review

Purchased for my 2006 Ford F-350 SD XLT. Works like a champ. I had to remove the front hub to work on the seals, but it had a hard-to-reach clamp. This tool did its job.

Tried and failed for an hour with a double X-gear wrench on a 2011 F350 4x4 front axle. With Knipex I removed the circlips on both sides in 1 minute. I have not modified (sawed off) the Knipex pliers. They must be listed in any repair manual for that truck model.

The locking ring in the Ford F350 hub is particularly difficult to remove and reinstall. I really doubt the engineering involved in building this hub. Although I only needed these tongs for a few minutes, these tongs are the reason I only needed them for a few minutes. It used to be a bear and I even bent a few pairs to get it working. I would recommend this purchase to anyone.

I have a 2006 F250 Super Duty, I've struggled with several circlip pliers, one of which is heavy duty and it still took a LONG TIME to remove and reinstall the circlips. Bought these specifically for my 05 F250 hub lock assembly.
