Pretty solid - Solenoids

Nice little solenoid with fine threads. Have handled the 40-100 psi setting on my air compressor well for a long time. Recommended for this price! 08/27/2018 - After a few weeks of use, the plastic case is slightly leaking. I've unscrewed and re-attached/Tefloned this magnet twice already and its threads are still in good condition.

Works but low CFM for Hydraulics, Pneumatics and Plumbing

I was unprepared (my fault) for how little CFM goes through this valve. Inner hole less than 1/8 inch. They work at voltages below 12V. At 12V I used 530mA. Worked well with air, water and cutting fluid for my grinder. I have successfully modified one to have a higher flow rate, drilled all the larger passages and replaced the valve seat with a small brass tube that is slightly smaller than the plug gasket.

Great work product!

Installed 2 of these on my car to activate the air release valve. Knowing so little about inductive loads at the time of purchase, I was surprised when my car stalled when the power went out. I didn't know that at the time, but the collapse of the magnetic field in an inductive load sends an UNCOMFORTABLE surge of voltage into your electrical system. I added a diode between the positive and negative terminals when I reconnected it and never saw the problem again. All the time they worked as…
