So 1 star might be fair now, but it is what it is. I've used them as hinges for a small keepsake box, but that doesn't seem like the best way to keep everything on the same level. Also, it's a hassle to get everything right because they're basically just pins and there's no good way to properly refer to their angle.

Good for the price; if you want it better, you pay more. There were only 49 loops in the bag, and 8 of them broke in transit. The ninth pen was not in the package so it was separated before shipping. I reassembled the hinges and machined the pins to hold them together. I test them before installing to make sure they stay together.

I think these hinges are good value for money. However, some quality control would be helpful for the company. I found that 7 parts out of 50 were not manufactured correctly as the pivot point of the hinge was drilled off center rendering the hinge unusable. However, the other hinges were of satisfactory quality for the price. I used them in little boxes for rings. If you are looking for a cheaper hinge for smaller boxes I would recommend these for cheaper items.

The pictures are perfect but the product is NOT! Other reviews are correct - they need quality control. 17 of them had their pivots off center, and the pivot just wouldn't work properly if used in a project. One of them was hinged and wouldn't budge. When buying, keep in mind that you will be throwing some of these away and factor that into the price. These are good economical hinges for small boxes etc with some limitations. I haven't had any issues with pins falling out as mentioned in some reviews, but the location of the pivot pin hole varies widely. Some of them are far from the hinge column, while others are roughly in the middle. See photo for centered and offset holes. 4 stars although only 38 out of 50 hinges were suitable for my application. Of the 12 bad ones, most are misaligned (the pin isn't in the center of the hinge). One had no cutouts on the short end. One was too long. One didn't have a chamfer at the end of the long side and one was too tight. The hinge pins were each too long and protruded beyond the diameter of the hinge.
