I've had to cut stainless tubing with it and it's done very well. Is cooled with compressed air when cutting, but lasts much longer than standard bimetal.
I was trying to cut a hole in a stainless steel tank for an internal fuel pump and my regular utility knife couldn't. This carbide-tipped hole saw got the job done with ease.
Ordered to drill through a steel I-beam. Shocked. I even used my cordless drill (DeWalt 18v) and did it with a battery. Just use a low speed and make sure it is perpendicular to the drilling surface or you will break the pilot bit. And no oil! I did it first and he started smoking like a bastard. Dry!
