The stitching around the edges that hold the clips in place is very poorly finished. The first ripped the stitching and got a replacement, the second did the same so I only spent $25 and took it to an upholstery shop where they sewed it up properly. If they had used a thicker thread this would not have been a problem. But made in Mexico, so what can you expect. A few years ago when they were made in the USA they were of the finest quality but now they are very poorly made.

This is my second car bra for my 2013 Ford Escape. The first one looked great but was a bit awkward to put on. The tight fit made it difficult to insert the clips properly and there was a small tear near one of the clips. This eventually caused a lot of wear and tear on that area and it started to crack. After 7 months I had to buy a new one. I'll reinforce the clips and seams by sewing around them again. I hope this helps keep him together for more than a year.

He didn't squeeze too hard. The company should address this issue in future updates. It's all about the money and I'm sure this product will last for several years. Bought for my wife's short vacation in 2014. She loves it. Putting the hood on took about 5 minutes. The front grill portion was a different story.
