🚀 K&N Cold Air Intake Kit: Boost Horsepower with High Performance: 50-State Legal: Compatible with 1988-1995 Ford (F150, Bronco) 5.0/5.8L V8, 57-2542 Review

This product was poorly designed. I installed as instructed and in less than 100 miles the filter was damaged from rubbing against the new frame's metal bracket. For the price this is not a quality item. I have bought other air intakes for my other cars and they are cheaper and better quality. I thought K&N was supposed to be top notch.

On my F150 I had to redo the crankcase ventilation according to their drawings. I trimmed the original hard plastic tube to the correct length and then just used the piece of rubber tubing that came with it to connect to the intake manifold. Other than that, it was a great setup. I think it needs a bit more sealing rubber to fit the round hole that Sir's pipe goes through to seal the warm air out of the engine bay.

I have to say that this cold air intake has helped make my Bronco 93 fuller and more powerful than it ever came from the factory. I don't know how this affects gas mileage yet, but I'll update this if I see a difference. This is a great addition to my truck which has many engine upgrades like a new ignition system, a Magnaflow exhaust which I custom fitted to the truck and thanks to the K&N cold air intake system it roars up and down the road!

Although they are expensive I really like these sets. This is the third K&N trick I've tried. Installing a kit always provides an increase in fuel efficiency and when you combine it with a high performance exhaust you can expect great sound and more power too. They also improve the look of your engine and are a great selling point when it's time to get rid of the car. I have never been disappointed with a K&N product and I will be back.

I bought this for my 1995 Ford f150 5.8 and still love it. Good quality, good price and a HUGE increase in throttle response. I didn't notice any significant increase in fuel consumption. It was easy to install for the most part, I had to drill the rear screw alignment on the heat shield because it didn't line up with the mounting plate. And the hose clamps require a lot of strength from John Cena to slide over. But overall it was a great price for a quality cold air intake. Looks great too…

Arrived today, installed. I was very satisfied with the quality of all parts. The intake pipe is very solid, to say the least. Everything came together pretty well. I had to remove one clamp where the intake manifold connects to the throttle body because there wasn't enough room to install the second clamp. I doubt this will be a problem as the entire assembly is well secured. In terms of improved performance, it seems to have more power. (I've only gone on a test drive so far) I don't know…
