Fast & Efficient crack-chasing

This tool is amazing. It grinds out cracks in cement slabs very quickly and efficiently. Needless to say, grinding cement is a VERY dusty business, so take appropriate precautions, especially if you're grinding indoors. We put up plastic sheeting around the entire area we were grinding, from ceiling to floor, hand-held a shop-vac with a hepa filter behind the grinding wheel, and wore a high quality 3M P-95 mask & face shield. The result was a nice v-shaped groove that made it easy to fill and…

Pros
  • Great product!
Cons
  • Not suitable for use with wet cutting

Cut like a hot knife through butter

Back pool deck had numerous cracks. Watched Youtube videos to find out how to repair concrete cracks prior to painting. I purchased an angle grinder, goggles and paper dust cover, as I knew there would be a lot of dust. The grinding wheel is tapered and easily followed even small hairline cracks. I wanted to open the cracks wide enough to provide room for quick set concrete fill. This grinder wheel needed no pressure to open the cracks to a tapered width of about 1/4" and a depth of about 3/8".

Pros
  • If you want to widen your crack, this is the device to do it.
Cons
  • May produce vibrations during use, affecting accuracy

I am extremely happy with this crack chaser as it works great and it is very easy to use. It quickly and easily cuts through the cement, some have said like a hot knife through butter. Although, I paid almost $50 to get this product I think it's worth every penny as I ground out a number of cracks in my garage and it still isn't even slowing down and it's still very durable. If I ever needed another one I would buy this exact same one again but I don't think I'm ever going to need another one…

Pros
  • Works well for grinding out cracks in cement so they can be repaired.
Cons
  • May produce large amounts of debris during use

Highly Recommend best in my review

This is the first review I have ever left. This product is amazing. Cuts through concrete like a hot knife through butter. Follows the cracks easily making the job of filling them a breeze. Used it on approx 150' of cracks and still looks like new. Highly recommend this if you are doing concrete crap repairs.

Pros
  • Amazing tool. Cut through like butter. Made the job so much easier.
Cons
  • May produce excessive noise during use

Crack chaser is awesome. Quality, not so much

This crack chaser is awesome. It cuts through the concrete like butter. Unfortunately, it only lasted one day of light use. The center ring detached from the disc, making it useless since it just spins. Back it goes! I'll try the threaded version.

Pros
  • This is just perfect for cleaning up and cutting back old cracks. I would buy again in a heart-beat.
Cons
  • Possible risk of blade warping

Top quality at a very reasonable price

I was unable to purchase this item from my normal suppliers and was told it was going to be several weeks due to supply chain issues. Looked on Best Buy, found it right away, and received it the next day. This crack chaser is a top notch product, and has exceeded my expectations.

Pros
  • Works as good as the expensive ones.
Cons
  • Not suitable for use on vertical surfaces

Diamond toughness for concrete crack preparation for repair.

Our 1951 driveway concrete slab had settled and cracked over the years and I purchased the 4.5-inch diameter/0.5-inch wide crack chaser wheel for my angle grinder. The crack chaser wheel worked very well in opening up the existing cracks prior to installation of a self-leveling polyurethane product. I utilized the crack chaser wheel on 75-lineal feet of cracks and it appears to have experienced little wear and tear. The wheel is well made and its integral nut for removal from grinder spindle is

Pros
  • The blades worked great for us on a small crack repair job. No complaints. Would recommend to anyone.
Cons
  • May have a shorter lifespan compared to other blades

Worked great! on my review.

This blade allowed me to zip through 100-200 ft of cracks in just a few hours and the blade did not show any indication of getting dull.

Pros
  • This thing cut like butter. As others said be careful as it is aggressive.
Cons
  • Can only be used for specific applications (crack chasing, asphalt repair, joint widening

Easy to use and has lasted my entire job.

A few years ago I had a concrete driveway poured at my house. The concrete eventually had over 100 feet of cracks. The crack chaser blade lasted the entire job and am still using it on another job.

Pros
  • Fit the description perfectly.
Cons
  • May not fit all angle grinders

I was chasing/widening cracks in my concrete garage floor in order to get a repair product to fix the crack's . This Wheel worked Fantastic when used on a High Speed Grinding tool . The product worked 100 % for my application and worth every penny .I recommend using safety glasses and a mask as this wheel enlarges smaller cracks in concrete FAST combined with the correct tool.

Worked Perfectly on my review.

This was my first purchase of a concrete crack chaser. I bought it because the concrete repair companies were too busy to fix my driveway. So I decided to repair the driveway myself. Attached easily to my Dewalt grinder and made easy work opening up cracks for caulking. Highly recommend the product.

Pros
  • great tool at a good price, happy to finally have one of these to cut the driveway and seal it properly.
Cons
  • May create rough or uneven edges

Crack Chaser appear to be good

I just received it and by the looks of it, I think it will do the job just fine, but I am a little concerned about the wielding area that I have highlighted in the picture. I will update later if it breaks apart.

Pros
  • This wheel works great. I used it on the sidewalk and the garage floor. Still looks new.
Cons
  • Blade may be prone to overheating

Makes short work of cracks

Easily allowed me to wide out down cracks on my patio so that I could fill cracks with self-leveling sealant. The 5/8" arbor fit my angle grinder easily.

Pros
  • Good Product
Cons
  • brass ring broke free, now it is art. will order the thread-on style next time.

Worked fast, expanded crack to 1/2 inch opening

Had vertical crack in foundation (stemwall). Crack was below grade so I had to dig out an area for grinder access, not much room. Crack chaser blade was easy to control and I was able to grind the 8 inch crack in about a minute. No kickback. I made sure all body parts were clear of the blade and of the kickback path before starting. No problems and much quicker than I expected. Lots of dust.

Pros
  • Does exactly what I need it to. Great tool
Cons
  • Slower cutting speed compared to other blades

Cuts concrete like hot knife in butter

This blade works well for cleaning and reshaping existing expansion joints and for cutting new joints. If you use water it'll help control dust and for your safety, wear a mask and gloves.

Pros
  • 👍
Cons
  • Blade may not be effective on heavily reinforced concrete
