Doesn't fit best in filter

After double checking the k&n and Revain website. Both confirmed that the part would fit my model and year. The part arrived and will not fit a 2002 Toyota Corolla. Emailed K&N with a problem. It's been a week and the product manager still hasn't responded to me. I want to return the item but I'm stuck in limbo until I get replies. It wasn't that I didn't mind wasting time, it was that it shouldn't have happened in the first place.

Easy install on filters

The filter was very easy to install with very detailed step by step instructions. I drive a stock Corolla, so I'm not expecting crazy performance gains. However, I do notice that it has a bit more power on startup, the engine idles much smoother, and the idle has dropped from around 1100 rpm to 600 rpm. install, looks good Disadvantages: When the engine is cold and idling, a loud "suction noise" can be heard. I didn't know but apparently this is normal for this type of intake and car.

the heat sucks in the summer.

Instruction was for installation, induction sound is pretty good. However, the kit does not come with a heat shield for the air intake and the entire unit heats up in summer. At 90+ degrees, the car's performance deteriorates terribly. Acceleration from standstill is painfully slow. The induction noise sounds like a lawnmower about to stall when the grass catcher is full. Suburban 2003 Pontiac Vibe and I'm very happy - engine sound changes and power increases.

Easy to install. Changes the sound of the engine (more of a growl) and improves highway performance. Installed it in my 2003 Pontiac Vibe commuter car and am very happy with the purchase.
