It was an excellent drive belt tensioner

This was an excellent drive belt tensioner. My dealer wanted over $400 to replace mine and I almost agreed. After procrastinating for over a year, I found it took about thirty minutes. I saved $360!

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • Update Availability

OEM: Motor parts

Fits on N52 in e90. They all fail sooner or later. Save money and buy this. OEM block packaged in an IFA box versus a single stamped BMW. If you want a nice BMW box, feel free to pay more. Also avoid aftermarket units, they are not durable, we had one crash during installation and they are actually not that much cheaper.

Pros
  • Control parts
Cons
  • Very expensive

Cheaper than OEM

I was hesitant to order engine parts from Amazon as I'm more used to getting them from a dedicated online store. They work just as well as the previous part which I bought direct from BavAutosport. Regular maintenance is key to keeping your car running like new and giving you less to worry about.

Excellent Tensioner

I bought this tensioner for my 2006 BMW 325i. It was exactly the same as the factory model. It's been working fine for a few months now. If you hear a squeaking noise in the engine bay, it's probably due to a worn tensioner. All I needed was a torx wrench and an e-torx wrench to replace it. Be sure to note the torque and torque angle requirements for cars.
