Easy to replace for testing, measuring and checking

Lowering the mast takes longer than replacing the cartridge. The new design is sealed at the top, less prone to bugs and sand. Immediate improvement in light wind and gust measurement. If you notice your anemometer sticking or not turning in light winds, it's time to replace the cartridge.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Some bugs

One thing I noticed from my side is that the magnet on my spare part is covered by a plastic cover and I'm pretty sure it's sealed! The photo I've added here is MY old part that had the magnet open. If you have the same part as mine, don't try to remove the "cap" - it looks the way it is now and it works great with the plastic coating, maybe it protects the bearing a bit! As mentioned, the replacement requires an incredibly small hex wrench and then all you need is a #2 Phillips wrench. Total…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly creased

Exchange took 5 minutes, works great. Thank you Davis!

I have a Vantage Pro 2 from 2014. This module is suitable for any Vantage Pro 2 Spring 2013 or later. The steps to replace were easy. Use a hex wrench to remove the wind cups. (I hope you kept yours from the original install). Then remove the Phillips screw from the existing module. Removing an existing installed module may require little effort as it has been there for years. Just work with it carefully and this module will eventually be released. You will most likely see a magnet on the top…

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Something different
