🔧 Reliable Replacement: Engine Valve Gasket Set (Replaces 794152 690190) Review

The kit fitted my engine 311707 but the intake manifold gasket bolt holes were too close together. I had to remove some material (see picture) to allow the screws to go through. Everything still worked perfectly.

New cylinder head gasket installed, engine starts quickly, everything started to work much better. But after 5 minutes of running the seal burst. My first impression was that the new gasket didn't look as solid as the old one it replaced. I will look for a US made seal and do it again.

Came with two head gaskets. They jammed together, damaging the covers on both. Everything was fine in the piston area, so I installed it anyway. Both pads burst after 5 minutes of mowing. The rest of the gaskets in the kit appear to be fine. I give three stars for the fast delivery, the rest of the pads and the price. Just don't rely on the cylinder head gasket.

Loved it, but I've repaired so many cars I can't remember much other than the repair was pretty easy and the car sold in a short time. The head gasket kit was great. At first I thought I installed it incorrectly but luckily it had two head gaskets and the other actually worked as well. My real problem was the dipstick getting tangled up in the flywheel and splattering oil all over the place. The mower has been working great since I installed this kit. Anyway, the head gasket was definitely blown, so I'm glad I got it. That's the downside of this engine.
