It's good. Best in Power & Hand Tools

This is a heavy duty very well made tool. It will probably last for three lifetimes. The auger blades are made from at least 16 gauge steel and are powder coated. The comments this thing generates just hanging on the store's wall are worth the price of admission in and of themselves. If you decide to use one, you'll need at least a 12-volt cordless drill with a 3/8-inch chuck. The three inch diameter allows you to drill a hole suitable for annuals or bulbs in seconds. The good thing is that…

Great if you use it properly

I was initially hesitant to purchase this as some negative reviews and pictures showed how fragile it is. After using it, I realized that some people may have used it incorrectly. It should not be used like a drill when applying constant pressure. This can cause the drill to stop or bend if you have a strong drill. Instead, I kept bouncing up and down, throwing some of the dirt away so it wouldn't get stuck. I learned this while using a professional drill to dig posts. As long as I did that I…

Rugged Durable Reliable Handy 1/2 " drill bit size

Rugged Rugged Rugged Handy 1/2" drill bit size. Pots or 2 inch poles. When I need big holes, I just wiggle them a little. And due to 2" instead of 3" and 4" it can easily expose rocks in the hole instead of jamming. Sometimes I still got stuck in rocks or branches; The trick is to set the drill to a lower torque so it doesn't twist. Set the speed to high for soft soil and low for hard, rocky soil. My drill has an impact mode. I use it for stubborn knots. For weed control I plant almost parallel
