But it looks like it will work fine

In the end it wasn't needed thank goodness. This was a just in case purchase for a project that will now be in my toolbox just in case. But it looks like it's working fine.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Disappears

So far so good too - no leaks or problems

Had to repair the threads in the aluminum transfer case. No drill was included (must buy 41/64" separately) but other than that it was all I needed including a couple of extra thread inserts when I screwed in two. Adorable the third time! So far so good - no leaks or problems.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Lots of things

New threaded insert hole

This worked very well for what I needed. My table saw had a hole for the guard support but was never threaded from the factory. Use a 41/64" drill bit to ensure the hole is correct, then use a tap to tap new threads. I found I needed and appreciated the installation tool as the insert wants to pop out and would be difficult to reach. Insertion started without tools, will definitely look at other sizes from this manufacturer in the future.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Other interesting options are available.

Saved me a lot of money but don't forget your 41/64. Bring a drill!

Used to repair a broken bell thread on my Mercruiser Alpha I Gen 2. The kit included everything needed for the job except a 41/64 drill bit. I easily saved the $500 to $700 it would cost to replace a house. I will definitely use this type of set again.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Dull packaging

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
