I took it apart to see how the filter is changed and found the threads were stripped right away. Now I have metal shavings in the filter and I'm not sure if the element is sealed well enough to filter anything.

I was in the process of restoring an old 1975 Aquasport and decided to re-use the original, long-dead petrol tank. As anyone can see, I was worried about the junk in the tank. I cleaned it as best I could and ran this filter along with another built in filter. The engine worked fine! a good product.

First of all. The two filters I received were defective and not leaking. Faulty pouring process and no fuel at the same time so I spent hours resetting fuel lines and a new fuel pump only to find that only those $7 fuel filters were bad. happen. The filter is made of cheap cast iron.

The product looks nice, looks well assembled. Installed with my fuel line and couldn't start the bike. I disassembled the filter and one of the holes in the main chamber (the outlet port in the filter) was not drilled through. Now the fuel could pass. I had to modify. Additionally, the filter mesh is incredibly dense and not ideal for gravity applications. K&N has let me down for the first time in decades.

I needed a fuel filter that could be cleaned and reused. I bought a boat with a very dirty fuel tank. After cleaning the tank multiple times and cleaning the carbs multiple times, I was still having issues. I bought two of these filters and installed one. I ran the boat until it burned out and then replaced it with a different filter, cleaning it in the process. After doing this many times the boat runs like new and I have an extra filter on the boat in case I need one.

Wow what a disappointment. I bought 4 of these a few months ago to do a custom demo build. Today I tried to install the first one and it fell apart. At first I thought it was broken. But no, there is only one common thread that connects them. I checked, they are all the same, attached with just a thread! I can't change them to work. Just a waste of money. I've bought others, probably made in China, and they're much better made. This is a waste of money, time and effort. K&N shouldn't be allowed
