Excellent product, the best quality.

Personally for me, the quality of the picture is primary. But do not discount the weight and size of the glass. Carrying it with you all the time is quite stressful, it takes up a lot of space in a backpack. If you take only him and shoot the girl on the street, then there is no problem. But for me, this is not the most common scenario. As a rule, I take 1-2 more lenses with me and this is no longer convenient. But there are no complaints about the picture. Price / quality is just a gun! P. S…

Pros
  • Daring as a bullet sharp!)) 1.4 working 100%! Soft focus ring, fire build quality. For a year, nothing has fallen off, the rubber bands are in place. Bokeh yummy.
Cons
  • Although I am not a fragile boy, the weight and size of the problems sometimes delivers.

I really like the product, it fully meets my expectations.

I've been using them for about 2 years now. I can say with full responsibility - the lens is super! Focuses quickly, keeps the face in focus perfectly. Both for large portraits and for half-length, full-length ones. Backlight holds perfectly. Yes, there is a minus with its weight and size, I don’t always take it with me on long trips on vacation. But I have more zooms. In general - I recommend!

Pros
  • Sturdy, well made, strong!
Cons
  • HEAVY, big

I bought a Samyang 85 / 1.4 to replace it, since Sigma turned out to be lighter in direct comparison, this is important to me, because I like to shoot concerts in nightclubs. Exclusively in terms of characteristics and picture, the lens is amazing. But after the light and compact Samyang, the Sigma was frankly unpleasant to use. Too big and heavy, just unpleasant to get out of the bag, even despite the presence of autofocus. Which by the way is quite leisurely, the eye tracking function does…

Pros
  • + Sharp + Light + contrast + Near-zero distortion + Nearly no vignetting at f/2.0
Cons
  • - Heavy - Big - Autofocus speed is not the best - The hood is tight. - There are chromatic aberrations, sometimes quite serious

BEWARE! No guarantee!

Beware of "grey market" dealers that offer no US warranties and are not authorized Sigma dealers. Not worth the small saving.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • New competitors appeared

Worth every penny Good lens for mirrorless cameras

Every time I use this lens I practice but it makes up for it with amazing image quality! Paired with the A7iii what a cool combo! The price for 85mm 1.4 couldn't be lower, Sigma sold me 35mm 1.4. Five stars!

Pros
  • Handy part
Cons
  • Crumpled

Used with Sony a6000

This is a bad lens. I use it with Sony a6000 and GOBE filters. AF is really fast. MF is even and sharp. The bokeh is really nice. I rented a Sony 85mm 1.4 and I really liked it too, I just didn't see a 1k difference.

Pros
  • Trial period for one year
Cons
  • Weight

Very good lens for mirrorless camera lenses

Best lens I've ever had. Basically I give 4 stars for the value, how much can a 1k lens cost? At half the price of the Sony equivalent I think it's good value for money but still pricey. Photos are great when paired with my Sony a9.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Fits

Extremely sharp

I am very happy with it when you take portrait photos or social activities, the approximation is quite fast and accurate. Its disadvantages are its weight and size, but this is compensated for by the image quality. I'm sure it was the best choice of its kind.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Gray Market Lens! in Lenses

I ordered this lens thinking it was a US approved lens but it is not a gray market lens. I called Sigma to check it out. That sticker on the side of the lens prompted me to call to take a look. I am very upset that Pro-Distributing sells gray market products here in the US. And they want me to pay for shipping back to California. Avoid them at all costs.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • No instructions

Taxi hot! in Camera Lenses

LOVE this lens. RAZOR is sharp. I don't have to carry it around with me all day, so the fact that it's big and heavy doesn't bother me that much. The bokeh is great, it focuses quickly and the shots make me look like a good photographer! . The problem is only with 6ave, the seller. Neither they nor Revain mention a US warranty anywhere. hence the great price. Also, the delivery took a long time.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Some cons
