Will not work on Delta 187WF

This kit easily fits Delta 187WF, no leaks. The problem is that the ball is misconfigured. The water turned on and off normally, but instead of the "off" position at 6 o'clock, it turned off at the 3 o'clock position. Mixing hot and cold is also wrong. The plumber said there was nothing more he could do. The solution is to buy a genuine Delta part. 3€ more and works like new.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Didn't fix the leak Bought for

Previously used similar sets successfully. I tried using this kit along with silicone faucet grease to try and fix an old Delta that was leaking. It seemed fine for a day and then started leaking again and ended up worse than the original parts. Installed it correctly and used the correct parts from the options in the kit so the only reason must be either poor quality or poor tolerances/fitting. As a result, the entire faucet had to be replaced. I guess they don't make them like they used to.

Be Your Own Plumber

This article made me a master plumber and hero. wife anyway. It has all the details you need and then some, so you can also look like a genius by not only making your faucet stop dripping, but giving the impression that you are doing it with less detail than have made the so-called "engineering cranes". If you think about it, a part is missing. Plumber, but crack. This product is approved by me and Chuck Norris. So buy differently. Update: A year has passed and the faucet is dripping pretty…

Near Perfect Fit and Repair Kit

This neat little kit contains more than enough to repair most kitchen faucets, except for ONE very important tool, a small two-pronged nipple for turning the special collet nut under the handle (it was called the Delta 2 wrenches". You can do without it if you have a bit of ingenuity.) Also, it has everything you need to fully restore this type of aging faucet, including good instructions. Which comes in handy for anyone is 'Wait, is this going where?' Moments that may arise. The only things…

The ball has one hole less than the original Delta.

Ball has one less hole than the original Delta Ball. I decided to give it a try just to see what happens. The ball seems larger than the original (and has fewer holes too) and I couldn't assemble the faucet. However, the seats and top seal fit the Delta faucet. Since the original ball was not brand new but still in pretty good condition, I used an old ball with new rubber parts. It all ended well, but it's not what I thought I bought it for. The cost of ordering Delta rubber parts is…

Cons
  • Socket required

Not universal for all Delta faucets

I ordered this repair kit because a lot of the comments said it would fit Delta 'crystal' ball shaped basin faucets. While the springs and rubber grommets fit, the silver replacement ball and plastic pieces on the end did not have the correct end to fit into the plastic piece that fits on the Crystal "Ball" faucet handle. I ended up cleaning and reusing the old one but bought this kit to do a full upgrade. This can work for other Delta faucet designs and again the worn seals and springs came…

Will not fit my Delta single handle kitchen faucet

This set will not fit my Delta faucet. I am not sure which faucet model we have as we inherited it with our new house. I had constant dripping from the faucet (not the handle) and assumed the seats and springs needed replacing (two small round pieces of black rubber sitting on top of two small springs). I figured I could replace the ball and cam assembly while I was there so I ordered this complete set. The seats and springs fit well, but I can't get the ball and cam together properly…

Delta Kitchen Faucet Repair Kit

Until now I have never repaired a faucet and I can say that it is easier than replacing the entire assembly with a new one. My 10 year old faucet kept dripping. I went online and bought what I thought was a direct replacement. The new Delta faucet was a cheaper imitation of the original (about half the weight and with a lot of plastic). I decided to buy a repair kit for the original device. I needed a 1/8" hex to remove the handle, a large crescent wrench to install the chrome nut, and a small…
