Description of 8W1Z5359A Suspension Victoria 2003 2011 3W1Z 5359 AA

The Suspension Ride Height Sensor is an electronic device that measures the distance between the road and a particular point on the vehicle's suspension, chassis or body. Based on the output of the sensor, the Engine Control Unit (ECU) makes the compressor determine whether to fill or release air from the air bags. The ride height sensor sends signals to the ECU, which causes the suspension to react while driving over bumps or due to heavy loads on the vehicle to provide a smoother ride. This Suspension Ride Height Sensor Fits for 2003-2011 Ford Crown Victoria, 2003-2011 Lincoln Town Car, 2003-2011 Mercury Grand Marquis. Customers can find the product you need accurately according to the OE number. OE part number: 8W1Z5359A 3W1Z-5359-AA, 8W1Z5359A, 3W1Z-5359-AA, 8W1Z 5359-A. Proper ride height is a critical factor in maintaining a healthy air suspension system, as well as a safe and comfortable ride for vehicle passengers. To achieve this, ride height sensors constantly monitor vehicle height, making adjustments to the system to compensate for additional weight or changing road conditions. It is usually fitted to the frame of the automobile or to components of the suspension system. When the sensor is detached from the ECU or other components, it may cause the suspension to stick. A bad ride height sensor makes the car dip. As an integral component in the air suspension system, these sensors must be replaced when they fail to avoid future damage to other parts in the system.

Fastest Delivery Replacement Part Item

The product looks good and worked to restore a 2003 Mercury GM air spring to normal operation. All available nodes look the same and cost about the same. I chose the one with the fastest delivery. UPDATE: Unit install failed 4 months ago (Nov). Bought a replacement (March) and fingers crossed. Check the warranty terms before committing.

Based on the sensor output, the Engine Control Unit (ECU) causes the compressor to determine whether to inflate or deflate the airbags. The ride height sensor sends signals to the ECU causing the suspension to react when bumps are passed or heavy loads are placed on the vehicle to ensure a smoother ride.
