These things work well

I really like that they have a pilot nozzle that taps around the spring. But it should have been made of a stronger material.

Cons
  • Could have gone for a newer model

Bent after several uses

I used it on a full size GMC pickup stand. It looked striped. You cannot oil the threads because the threads are coated. Not worth the money

Cons
  • Operating speed

Great price, great tool!

I've been using my old school 4 hook spring compressor for years. I should have bought this many years ago. FAST and I think safer! I recommend it

Cons
  • Big and bulky

broke on second use

it worked fine on the first coil spring and when working on the second coil spring both broke halfway screw with straps on both. The adjustment was the same as for the first coil spring.

Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

2016 Chevy Silverado 1500LT

Worked great for the 2016 Chevy Silverado 1500LT. I've never used one but read the instructions, didn't use an impact wrench and lubricated the threads. I removed the shock and inserted this tool, trying to capture as much of the spring as possible. Worked the same on both sides until I saw pressure on the top plate, then removed the center nut on the assembly to disassemble.

Works great on f150 coilovers!

Was looking for a good value spring compressor, saw many reviews that the compressor shaft bends or breaks on large springs so stay away from them. Have seen and tried this type of spring compressor. Managed to compress the stock springs to remove the cylinder. Then compress the new Bilstein springs to fit the new upgraded struts. Works perfectly! I carefully made 5 full turns, alternating sides. The photo shows that these powerful springs do not bend at all.

Cons
  • Communication with seller
