Invalid quality.

Poor tool quality. There was a gap in size between the two tools that required me to grind down a larger one to fit. The parts are of poor quality, as are the castings. Too cheaply made for the price. The only reason I'm not returning it is because I had to change a part to make it work. I should have spent the money on a better instrument.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Nothing

With normal use the metal is too soft and the head breaks and pulls through the center of the bearing. Contacted the seller for a replacement/refund, they told me to contact Revain and Revain told me to contact them. So my bearing is still stuck in my gearbox and I have a useless tool.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Some problems

Appears to be good quality but arrived with damaged parts

Kit arrived with the smallest puller already damaged and clearly used. The rest of the set is in new condition. In an attempt to replace just the damaged part, I contacted the seller through a Revain recommended website. The seller shifted responsibility back to Revane, which didn't help much. I can keep the kit with the damaged part as I need different sizes now.

Pros
  • Multiple competitors
Cons
  • Can't remember

Puller Quality Control

Quality Control: The reverse hammer handle was not machined well enough to stay in place as many reviews state. Not a big problem but it would take a JB weld to fix; The main problem was that one of the puller adapters was not fully machined, rendering it unusable. I considered using turnkey sanding slots to make it work for my application but decided to return it and try something else. Per Murphy's Law, this was the only adapter I needed to get the job done.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Great tool for very specific jobs

I needed to remove a connecting rod from a car transmission. I was fiddling around with jack stands in my garage so there wasn't much room under the car. I settled on a cheaper slide hammer kit from a local supplier and struggled with setup for almost a week. I tried to make my own slide hammer with my poor welding skills. Vain. Once installed, the bars were pulled out after a few hours. The M8 bolt mount was just what I needed and the weight of the bolt and short bolt length worked great in aโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • old

Poorly designed and didn't work

I needed an internal puller for a small pilot bearing. Might be good to get a set right? Not correct. This tool is very poorly constructed with corners that won't grip and a short mandrel that will cause your fingers to bend in and out no matter how hard you tighten! After many unsuccessful attempts, I tried changing the shape of the file handle, but the fingers still bent. I ended up cutting a small hook on the end of a piece of scrap steel and welding it to the mandrel so I could use a slideโ€ฆ

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Slightly cracked
