Coil Wire Mismatch

Note that you will need a crimping tool and lube. Also does not fit on the Ford coil (see photo). Durability and performance only time will tell.

Pros
  • Permanent Test Results
Cons
  • write later

Plug-in wires for harnesses

Absolutely worst plug-in wires I've ever bought, you have to put them together which is a lot harder than the description, no level of professionalism is worth that nonsense.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Fits

With this set you need a crimping tool.

You need to buy a cheap crimping tool they sell or buy some good connector wire crimping tools. Anything else will ruin the end connections. Take this into account when planning your expenses.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Some small things

Perfect fit for IH Scout

I used this on a 392 in my Scout with a Holley dealer. It comes with spade lugs for a Holley or Prestolite distributor. All wires were long enough to be properly cut and routed.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Disappear

Doesn't fit my 1996 Silverado

Doesn't fit my 1996 Silverado. Even if it says so in the description. This is a specialty/universal kit but I couldn't use it because the manifold ends didn't match my cap terminal. The coil wire insulation was also short.

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Nothing here

Check if you need spark plug elbows

The spark plug boots should have been angled on one side of the engine (351W) (I think it's my fault). All the caps touched the collectors, and 2 of them melted and shorted. I ended up swapping out the spark plug boots for my old corner kit. It took about 90 minutes to swap out all the shoes and S/P connectors.

Pros
  • . Everything is great!
Cons
  • Secret

Good wires but I didn't have a super smooth experience.

They will cope with their task, good quality cables, but for some engines they are a little short. I have a Cadillac 472 in my Fleetwood, the wires were almost too short to fit the way I wanted but I was able to get them to work, they would probably work better for a small block. Also, they tend to slip off the spark plugs so I have to slide them back from time to time to reinstall them, but that may only be because the leads are a bit short.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • There are nuances

Whatever the reason, they worked very well.

I bought them because the silicone boots completely cover the spark plug insulators. Excellent for air-cooled engines where dust and dirt can form leakage paths through insulators. I installed them in an air-cooled VW and to my great surprise the engine seems to have more torque. The motor is equipped with a premium Bosch coil and electronic crossovers, so ordinary cables couldn't withstand the increased voltage? Whatever the reason, they worked very well.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Easy repairability
