Quality and aesthetics!

This is ideal for individuals who have difficulty burning/melting spark plug leads due to excessive heat. They are of excellent quality and look aesthetically fantastic in white. The ceramic part (boot) is quite thick and offers sufficient protection against heat. I recently installed them on my CTS-V@fjgcisco.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • unreliable

Works great on my 6.2 with headers

These male leads work great on my 1500 12 Chevy with a 6.2 L9H. I have a set of Kooks headers and there is a spot where the factory connector wire on cylinder #3 is touching one of the primary tubes. So I tried cutting the factory connector housing and adding one of those heat shields, but the wire still burned out. These new 45 degree ACCEL wires clean all primary tubes with ease. I was also concerned based on the reviews that the wires would be short but if anything they are an inch longer.

They are great.: Wire Harnesses

These spark plug wires are great for LS turbo projects. They WILL NOT burn. I had a problem with back pressure due to a too small turbine. I had extremely high exhaust temperatures (this has been fixed. Too small an exhaust pipe housing on the turbo was causing overheating). I added a pair of thermal boots to them and there wasn't a single problem. My exhaust temp was so hot it melted the oil cap! ๐Ÿ˜ฒ Everyone survived! The white part is glass. Almost like porcelain. It's not flexible at allโ€ฆ

Almost too short for a standard coil pack setup on a Camaro LS3

On the Camaro LS3/L99 (and possibly all LS3/L99 engines) the location of the coil packs relative to the spark plugs is a little far out so they come on Coil pack and spark plug "snap in". Significant force was required to engage them, and with a spark plug, the tension in the wire created enough pulling force to eventually disengage from the spark plug. After work, when the wire was warm, he managed to stay seated. Hooking them up to a warm engine when they're warm (been in a 70+ degreeโ€ฆ

Just right for wiring harnesses

I bought this kit for my 5.3L Suburban. I installed the Kooks headers and they work great. They are the right angle and length to keep them off the header pipes. I just lost the wire from my last set due to the heat even though the boot was protected by a sleeve. The wires in this set were 12 inches long. When one of the boot cuffs touched the header pipe, the boot caught fire and that cylinder began to backfire. This was a costly mistake, the wires and sleeves cost almost twice as much as this

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

I have a 2006 TBSS with LS2 long tube heads and a pacesetter (thermoceramic coated) that you're not using plugs may be in stock due to space constraints. Even expensive imitation wires with heating sleeves boiled from the manifold heat, especially with straight cylinders, and caused misfiring. I replaced them with 2 misfiring cylinders and the ceramic part only touched the manifold on #2 or #4 (can't remember which) but that doesn't matter - those things just absorb heat - they won't thermalโ€ฆ
