I've tried using these cabochons as eyes in my clay work, but the backing sheet that came with it didn't stick well to the clay after baking. I believe you need to add glue before adding the eyes directly to the clay. They might be great for doll eyes or other crafts, but for sculpting I would say no.

I am creating many colorful "snakes" out of ribbons to use to teach our Avana children number 21 - the bronze serpent. Those little eyes and a tiny red ribbon attached to a 1 inch ribbon make the snakes pretty bearable! It is wonderful that children can "walk" through the Old Testament story so they understand that this is a foreshadowing of Jesus' ascension so that all who look to Him might be saved from sin and death.
