Unreliable: Camping

I bought it in 2013 but didn't use it much. I used it for the first time yesterday this year and noticed that the air pressure gauge drops the moment you take it off the tire. Although still functional, it is inconvenient to use. Several measurements are required to determine tire pressure. These things should last a lifetime like my others.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Something else

Great small, light and reliable sensor.

The pressure gauge works perfectly. It's small and the numbers aren't very readable for the visually impaired, but I like it a lot as I often leave it on my back when I'm on gravel or mountain biking to adjust the pressure. Anything bigger would be heavier and less comfortable on the back of the jersey. I also use it in my house. It seems to be as reliable as my floor pump.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly

Really good clinical thermometer!

I use this for my Presta valves on my road bikes. It delivers reliable results and holds the print once removed, eliminating the need for weird head angles when checking the print. I use it to check the pressure before every ride, but it's light enough to justify using it on longer rides where I want to make sure I have the least rolling resistance after a flat without overrunning (generally 130-pound tires hold square inches when on slippery roads)

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Thin

Great for outdoor recreation

This sensor works as intended. Bought it to fine tune road bike tires. As expected, my floor pump with gauge was off by 8-10%. With this pressure gauge you can set your ideal tire pressure. The reading is retained even after removing it from the valve stem, which is very convenient. The exhaust valve works easily and resets the gauge to zero. Many of the reviews that give this meter a 1 star must have had a defective batch or not know how to use the meter. I experience absolutely no loss of…

Constant pressure control is difficult

I agree with the reviewer who said the gauge is different than expected in 5 pound increments but works well. I had to use a Schrider valve adapter to inflate the tires, remove them and then check the pressure, which is very difficult to repeat and made it even more of a hassle to recheck the pressure or air loss due to the pressure gauge stuck to the valve. My main complaint, which could improve over time, is that when trying to remove the gauge, it sticks to the valve stem threads and won't…

So far a great sensor for Presta valves.

No air leakage. No tricks to make it work. Simply push the valve and remove. The pressure gauge will hold the pressure reading until you press the pressure release button. The same button can be used to deflate the tire while still on the valve, which is handy if you over inflate the tire. When you remove the gauge from the valve you will hear a small puff of air, but that is normal with any gauge. So far it has always worked flawlessly on my racing bike. I check my tires before every ride so…

2 failed 2 of 2

I bought this pressure gauge because it stopped working in my floor pump. Had to return it because the reading didn't go over 30psi even when my tires were fully inflated. I've asked for a replacement and the new one didn't exceed 400 kPa (58 psi). Last week I took my bike to the shop where the mechanic had the tires inflated. Today I pumped up some air with a floor pump. Even after that, the manometer shows 58 as the maximum pressure. The manufacturer offers a lifetime warranty, but in…

Great quality and works well

This Presta gauge is strong, durable and heavy for its size. The brass is thick. It seals very well when checking tire pressure. The needle rises to the tire pressure and stays there until the pressure release button is pressed. I like this feature of the dial gauge because I don't have to try to read the gauge when it's pressed against the valve stem. I can press it against the bar and then take it off and read in peace. You will hear a soft "pff" as you press the button as the air trapped in…

No matter: Outdoors

Almost ok. Bought Presta and Schraeder sensors for different bikes. Do not like. I can get the Schrader gauge working, albeit with a little effort each time. I can't get the Presta sensor to work at all. Not the measuring part does not work; it is an armature (head?). Removing the "head" reveals that they only put a short piece of silicon tubing inside, not the correct size o-ring to seal the end of the valve. The hose seems to wobble and is having a hard time making a seal that will hold the…

Good Bike Gauge in Cycling

Large Size. Easy to use on the bike by getting between the spokes. Seems accurate enough. The only problem with the device is the scale. Each tick equals 5 psi of pressure and measures up to 160 psi. This is a compromise to be able to measure high pressure in some tires. I have three bikes, two of which draw about 90psi and one uses 48psi. I have the same brand lock on my car. This is a larger unit that can be scaled up to 60psi in 1psi increments. However, the size of the car block makes it…
