Description of 🔧 Accu-Gage RA60X (5-60 PSI) Right Angle Chuck Dial Tire Pressure Gauge: Enhanced with Hose and Standard Valve

DURABLE: Unlike piston-plunger-type gauges, this gauge is designed for heavy-duty use. The bourdon tube movement is not affected by changes in temperature, humidity, altitude or air stream contaminants. Plus, with NO BATTERIES REQUIRED, this analog tire tool is flexible to fit all your terrain, temperature, and vehicle needs. FLEXIBILITY: With a right angle air chuck and durable braided hose, you're assured a great seal with no air leakage and the flexibility to reach awkward tire valves on cars, trucks, and motorcycles. ANSI CERTIFIED: This heavy duty tire gauge is calibrated to ANSI Commercial Grade B gauges and meets ANSI B40.1 Grade B specifications to ensure a rapid and accurate reading. A mechanical gauge design retains the PSI reading after removing it from the tire, making it the perfect, easy-to-use gauge for hard-to-reach tires. A SAFETY INVESTMENT: Maintaining proper tire pressures improves handling for cars, trucks, motorcycles, and more, and reduces the risk of tire failure across terrains, extending the life of your tires. Reduce wear and tear with a heavy-duty, all-purpose tire tool that lasts. DUAL FUNCTION: Not only does this tire pressure gauge provide quick, accurate readings — it's also equipped with a deflator valve and outfitted to release extra air from your tires for precise tire pressure adjustment.

Inaccurate Good for tools and equipment

Gauge must be ACCURATE. I needed a 90 degree chuck to check motorcycle tire pressure. I tested it on four that I already had (none of them had a 90 degree cartridge). The four I had gave the same pressure readings for the four bicycle tires and four car tires that I had measured. Accu-Gage has always been 2-3 pounds lighter. Disappointing.

Pros
  • Very profitable

Suitable for one hand operation

I wonder what a right angle chuck means? Well it could mean how you hold the cartridge on the valve. But that doesn't matter as I've found that you don't have to push the cartridge against the valve and read the pressure, the needle stays in its highest position until reset. This means if you're looking for 50psi and you're ready for 35, you don't need to reset, just add more and then take another reading and any psi above the original 35 will show up.

It is NOT accurate, not even close

Gauge needle stuck 7.5 pounds after first use. Now he's so high on everything that I have to subtract 7.5 pounds from every reading. No big math problem to fret about. But what's worse, I will never TRUST him. So why own this piece of shit? Well it's too late to go back, albeit unsuccessfully. So my advice is to go to Wally Mart and buy a small electronic device for $6. They are very accurate and if they fail buy three more. Then you get what I have in this turkey.

Great for spoked bikes where they fit snugly

This did not work properly at first. This would provide the correct tire pressure but would not hold the reading. Immediately started dripping. I unscrewed the end of the hose, found a spring and 2 small washers (clear plastic and black, black goes on top) - the black washer was upside down and wouldn't close. I flipped it, reassembled it and now it works great. I also stretched the spring a bit for a tighter fit. Ideal for motorcycles with wire wheels where they fit snugly.

  • An absolute legend

It fell apart right out of the box.

The assembly consists of a metal tube with a valve that screws onto the pressure gauge and then a hose is screwed onto that tube. I unpacked it and immediately after using it on the front wheel of the bike I noticed that the thread gauge tube was loose. No problem. I added some Loctite and tightened. Well, the hose broke off. It has a spring and two washers (gaskets I think) that spilled on my garage floor. I've been trying to assemble it to make sense (I'm an engineer for what it's worth) but…

Good motorcycle gauge

After years of frustration with using everything from old pencil gauges to three or four different digital gauges to check motorcycle tires, I finally decided to switch to this gauge. It's very solidly built, fits well in tight spaces, and unlike some weak LCDs, it's easy to read. The fact that this pressure gauge reads until you press the little safety valve is a huge plus. It also makes it easy to adjust tire pressure if you've over-inflated them by a few pounds. I bought the rubber boot that

Total crap!: Tools and gear

I fooled you, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. fool me three times . . . Yes, I know you must be an idiot. I admit. I've bought Accu-Gages straight ammo twice in the past. I don't recall knowing they were inaccurate, but each only lasted a few years. (I have a German made sensor that has been accurate and reliable for over 40 years.) I bought this latest rectangular cartridge sensor to work in tight spaces on motorcycles. Motorcycle tire pressure is crucial. Wrong inflation is…

Made in China but appears to work well very stable

Accu-Gage RA60X 60psi Right Angle However, the reviewer pointed out that their 5 year Accu Gage is made in the USA and carries a lifetime warranty. The packaging is still covered by a lifetime warranty, but they are now made in China. The bourbon mechanism seems to work as advertised, I don't lose any air in the gauge after reading. The bleed valve is the best aspect as it allows me to quickly adjust the air pressure without having to think about how much air to bleed. The hose is covered with…
