This is a great little brake fluid tester. It has a build-in light and works on most brake fluid types. I like the flexible tip for the tester as many vehicles have the brake fluid reservoir right against the firewall and out of reach. I've used old testers like this but had to have a different test for each type of brake fluid which was very ineffective. This test solves that issue and priced very well for the features and accuracy.

I purchased this product to use for the automotive program I teach. It is very easy to use, and seems spot on accurate when compared to brake fluid test straps. I've tested about 10 different cars, and each time I test an older vehicle that hasn't been maintained properly, the tester shows the same results versus newer cars with fresh fluid show very low moisture content. This too would be fantastic for selling fluid services.

Bought this version over other testers because it had a flexible, slim probe design that lets me snake it into my hard to reach brake fluid tank. Good accurate tool for an economical price a must for large vehicle brake system since they create a large amount of heat. And water turns to steam and pressure build up car have issues as well especially in the cold climate areas and ice in the lines

I tried the pen style tester and another one similar to this one. It was hard to get an accurate reading on the others with led indicators. This one seems to be accurate and reads better.

This brake fluid tester is extremely useful for a DIY mechanic or someone working in a shop. This tool as well constructed and should last quite a while. I was very impressed by how fast it produces a result. All I did was turn on the tool and dip it in the master cylinder to obtain the readout.
