Fixed a problem with my 1997 Jeep Cherokee XJ. When the HVAC fan is on, it blows air through the defrost when you accelerate. Changed and everything was fixed without problems. It only works one way, so you can't mess it up.

Although this is a GM part, it fits snugly on my 2008 Lincoln Mark LT 5.4L engine. There are two of these check valves that lead to a vacuum solenoid that activates the AWD hubs. The engine rooms were too small.

This vacuum check valve was literally a 10 minute fix on my Jeep Cherokee to keep heat and air conditioning from constantly escaping to the defrost vents. Affordable, easy to use and saved me tons of money on repairs with a quick web search and 10 minutes of my time!

fitted my 2001 jeep grand cherokee perfectly even though amazon said it didn't fit. Every time I put the engine under load, my fan switched to the defrost position. After some testing I confirmed that I have a bad vacuum check valve. Bought this kid and no more problems! 5 Stars

There is this cheap universal vacuum system that everyone sells but it doesn't work. I thought I would never get four wheel drive on my Jeep again, but this part worked well and I don't care if "this part doesn't fit your car". I'm glad at least someone is still making the part that works.

I have been using this exact model for over 10 years for special vacuum projects. It's bulletproof and true old-school quality. I've been buying these for years and unlike many other products they stay the same. Solid in every way. I use about 26 inches of mercury (inHg) and they last forever. Probably made in the USA. No Chinese junk, no matter where it is made. Good sharp spikes and a solid body. The two-tone is a nice touch to remind you that they're going from black to white.

I have ulterior motives in writing this review, more advice than a review. Check valve is ok, no problem. Used it on a 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 to repair a vacuum faucet that was interfering with the climate control. This is an overview. The advice is to find the initial vacuum port (it appears to be coming from the passenger side of the block) and swap the first check valve at the 90 degree angle.
