The switch has a screw that needs to be unscrewed from the inside. Be careful not to use external force or you will break it and the switch will lose connection forever.

If you need pedals to move forward or backward for people with vertical obstacles, I would first see if this can be programmed into your car. This was easy to install after removing the door panel. In front of the switch bracket is a screw that I broke off. It's ok, a lot of people do this when removing the holder.
