This updated design requires an updated master cylinder to fit the 2005 Silverado.

According to the ACDelco website this brake booster is the correct OEM part number for my 2005 Silverado LT 2x4 double cab but shows an incorrect fit at Revain. The reason for this is that you MUST fit a remanufactured ACDelco Master Cylinder 174-1169 or it will not fit. Compare the old ACDelco 18M2418 master cylinder and you will see how much shorter the new master cylinder piston is. I swapped them both out and am very happy with the result. Quality replacement amplifier. I replaced it with a 2005 Silverado 1500 due to a faulty master cylinder leaking inside the amp. The previous owner put a lot of fluid in and GM upgraded the master cylinder for this chassis so I wanted to use a new booster to avoid problems and an upgraded master cylinder. The fit and finish were as good as the original. , much better than many rebuilt units that aren't even painted. Works well with GM/AC-Delco master cylinder 174-1169, 19209325. This was for…
