It's nice that they come with pads

Went well. I had to search how to replace the inner pin bushings. They must be installed in grooves on the inside of the caliper. A bit fiddly, but they get in. Nice that they come with pads. Otherwise it costs $10 if you can find it.

Pros
  • Fits great for me
Cons
  • I will add later

Overall a very decent quality semi metal front brake kit from AcDelco which includes all the parts needed to fully engage the front brakes. The brakes are generally very quiet, low-dust and without fading. If anyone is looking for a cheap brake kit for their GM vehicle then this is the option for you.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • No automatic transmission

Best deal on AC Delco parts I could find and much better specs

Last set of brakes bought discs and pads drums and pads from local parts store which turned out to be total junk, brakes throbbed During the first month I decided to go back to AC Delco brake pads and rotors. I have been very satisfied with the smooth stop for several months. I have no doubt they will last and continue to stop smoothly.

Pros
  • Best in niche

Suburban stalls and noise is gone

What can I say, when I step on the brake pedal, my Suburban stalls. That and that awful rattle is gone. These pads and new rotors did the trick. Tip: Spray all braking surfaces with brake cleaner, THEN rinse with running water. This removes fine dust from surfaces, making your brakes much quieter. Also buy an extra pack of brake lube. The packages that come with these kits are never big enough.

Pros
  • Solid build
Cons

Same as the factory part and lasts longer than any others I've tried.

Here are the ones you need if you want the original style pads that GM put on the 1500 series - in my case my favorite high- Top 2001 express conversion I've been towing with his race car for more than a decade. Ceramic, organic, and all other types of pads simply have never performed as well as factory pads. They fit perfectly (unlike the non-original ones I used last time - expensive too) and don't squeak, just put them right with the heat cycle. Supplied with all necessary equipment.

Pros
  • Good stuff
Cons
  • Can't remember but there was something

Best Brake Pad Option For 1995 K1500

These Brake Pads Are The Only Way! My truck brakes as good as new. Very satisfied. I recently repaired the brakes with the highest quality pads and rotors I could buy locally, these were Wagner Thermo Quiet pads. They worked well, but I wasn't happy with the performance of the brakes, especially at high speeds or when carrying cargo. The Wagners required a lot more pedal power and had a lot of damping. Definitely not as good as OEM. I gave them up after about 4 months and installed these pads…

Pros
  • Good Thing
Cons
  • Not For Everyone
