Description of ๐Ÿ”’ Reliable Performance with ACDelco Gold 17D698CH Ceramic Rear Disc Brake Pad Set

Tested to SAE J2784 for braking effectiveness, along with Noise/Vibration/Harshness (NVH) and durability/wear testing for assurance of quality. Ceramic, semi-metallic, and organic formulas provide safety and reliability for a range of vehicle applications. Integrally molded - friction material molded to backing plate for bond integrity. Premium shims, slots, and chamfers help to diminish noise, vibration, and braking harshness. Stamped backing plate allows for proper pad movement within the caliper assembly, reducing noise, brake pulsation, and helps to protect against premature wear. Some ACDelco Gold parts may have formerly appeared as ACDelco Professional. Premium aftermarket replacement part. Manufactured to meet specifications for fit, form, and function for General Motors vehicles as well as most makes and models.

AC Delco wins on Revain

Identical replacement pads for my 2008 Chevy Impala. There is silicone grease in the box, enough for both sides. My car brakes well again, I have no complaints. New pads kept close by, like a two star rating, and mine where exactly the right parts were. Don't blame Delco for ordering the wrong parts. AC Delco has been perfect every time I've bought from Revain. Many of their parts are already on my wish list as my car gets older (I know it will wear out).

  • Makes me nervous

Warning. I installed them on the back of my GMC about 30,000 miles ago. At the time, the Revain system indicated they would fit in my truck. Now their system says this item is not suitable for my truck. Be careful, obviously their system is not reliable. My rear pads are now worn and the front pads that should have worn out earlier still look good. I'm not sure who is responsible for the early failure but I suspect the Revain system is to blame as I've always had good success with Delco's ACโ€ฆ

I wouldn't buy them again.

These pads have a significantly smaller footprint than the pads they replace. I held them side by side as I took the old ones off and it was so obvious how much less surface area was available for contact with the upholstery material for the new ones. I went ahead and put in new ones as my old ones needed replacing. But now I can feel the difference in how much less stopping power I have than before. I would not buy these pads again. At least they fit my car and the skid plate was the rightโ€ฆ

I didn't want to change them so I waited for a good price.

Waiting and frequently checking the prices of many brands paid off and I was able to replace brake pads and rotors on all 4 wheels on my 2001 Grand Prix for less than $100 and they only cost $10 . for a sentence. I'm about 40 miles from the nearest auto parts stores and they all wanted an arm and leg for upholstery. I hate seeing all those leftover heavy metals end up in a transfer station (landfill), but they get recycled so they come back as something new. They fit perfectly and wereโ€ฆ
