Good for 09 Kobalt has a metal end with a rubber O-ring for sealing to the car. There were also two attachment points to the bodywork, my car is very rusty and I was concerned it should be built with that in mind as far as I can tell better than the factory, mostly plastic which I removed, the brake breaks again Recommend brake pads and kit, if the brakes are rusty or worn, you can install them without disassembling the brake assembly, just remove the drum
