Just like the original.

After installing and programming my wife's 2010 Cadillac SRX rear sunroof is working great again. I found an independent auto mechanic who programmed it for $100. Saved a lot of money not having to take it to the dealer for programming. Saved more by installing it myself. Very easy to do.

Pros
  • Replacement parts
Cons
  • Requires outlet

Not worth it: Relay

So I bought it and installed it, it didn't work until I took it to a GM dealer so they could program it. And they charged me $140 dll just for programming. But until I got home, I didn't notice that every time I opened and closed it, it made a strange noise that wasn't there before. It's so disappointing because it's so expensive!

Pros
  • Switch and Relay
Cons
  • Slightly cracked

Seems to work. Best spare parts

The part is packaged identically to the original part. It doesn't work right out of the box. it MUST BE PROGRAMMED, which can only be done by a GM dealer. Recently, the tailgate has exhibited intermittent opening, opening partially and then closing again. At the moment I cannot attribute this behavior to the ECU or actuator which appears to be leaking.

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • Long delivery time
