Fixcode P0449 on NNBS 2007.5 Silverado 1500 5.3L

Used to fix code P0449 on NNBS 2007.5 Silverado 1500 5.3L. It fits perfectly and the magnet above has the same number as the OEM I removed. I watched the video on YouTube and everything is fine. The hardest part was carefully peeling off the plastic tabs that held everything in place. Bought with rubber hose and metal straps as suggested by Revane. Save yourself hundreds by doing it yourself. The only tools needed for removal and installation were a small flat head screwdriver, metal clamp…

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • weak

2007 owner of SILVERADO CLASSIC. This is NOT the right part.

2007 SILVERADO CLASSIC owners. This is NOT the right part. This part is for the newer Mid 2007 Silverado. Correct: ACDelco 214-2149 Professional Vapor Canister Vent Solenoid, which you can also find at Revain. You can also go to your local Advance Auto store and buy the part for $23.99. Special Note: Selling Gates hoses and clamps as a set was a good idea. As you will see when you remove the old block you will need a tiny (about 3 inch) piece of tubing and 2 clamps to connect the new solenoid…

09 Silverado 5.3 flex

10/27/19 installed on my 09 Silverado 5.3 flex Fuel. Everything fits well. My breather hose went over the gearbox, so it was kind of a pita that didn't have much room to work with. It looks like the previous owner installed it before because the hose that went to the charcoal filter box was cut and reattached. I broke the latch on the bracket that attaches to the charcoal box and had to find a replacement. Here is a link if you encounter the same problem: Dorman 800-041 Global Fuel Retainer…

Silverado 2010 Fixes a problem

I ordered this for my 2010 Silverado with error code 0449, it did the job. Worked great and got rid of that pesky engine light bulb. I recommend buying the rubber bands they offer as a 'buy together', it saved the day. The preformed hoses on the truck were "shrinkable" and had to be cut off and could not be put back onto the new solenoid. So gears changed and hoses laid, everything worked perfectly. This Dampfsol was half as expensive as in the car dealership. Saved the money and bought a code…

Pros
  • Pretty impressive

Fixed my code P0449!

I purchased this and the genuine GM evaporator canister purge solenoid valve 12597567 to troubleshoot the engine check code P0449 on my 2008 5.3L Silverado. After replacing both parts, my CEL went during the 4th truck trip, which has driven approx. 100 km since the parts were installed. This was a great relief after having the light on for 3 years (I'm lazy). I used a heat gun to remove the long, flexible, corrugated hose from the old vape tank and vent filter and used two hose clamps to secure

Pros
  • Great value for money
Cons
  • Only available in white

A 2006 GMC Sierra 2500hd works great.

by Victorian Bell on August 13, 2018 2006 GMC Sierra 2500hd works great. I bought it for my 2500HD Classic Ext Cab 6.0. Thought it was wrong at first, but it's a bit small due to the redesign. Solenoid curvature is smaller due to included remote housing (same solenoid size). You mount it away from dirt and dust. This is what I found when I opened the solenoid inside preventing it from opening. Just be sure to purchase a 12 foot (-/+) diameter, 5/8 inch diameter heater hose for the new location.

Bought new and valve stems

Bought for 2010 Chevy Silverado LTZ 5.3L V8 to fix check engine light. CEL didn't go out after replacing so I switched to Purge Solenoid and replaced that as well. The CEL is still on so I took it to my mechanic today who told me I need a new vapor canister/solenoid because it was sticking. He hooked up the smoke machine and manually opened/closed the solenoid with his computer, which showed me that he could open it by pushing the canister with his hand. $80 wasted, this time going to Autozone…

Pros
  • One year trial

  • Breakdowns
