2011 Impala - Switch

Easy Installation - I had to cut some insulation on the firewall with a utility knife to accommodate a slightly different basic shape. My error messages disappeared and didn't appear again.

Pros
  • Slim Design
Cons
  • Long Lead Time

These are fixed codes p2122 p2138 on the 2009 Chevrolet Impala LTZ

Great OE replacement pedal for the 2009 Chevrolet Impala LTZ. I just had to cut the pad above the pedal a bit. Installation took less than 10 minutes. No more signs of hesitation or jerking after installation. Cleared codes for p2122 and p2138. Many Thanks

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Some small things

Works very hard compared to the original gas pedal.

The pedal is a little smaller than the original but it takes a little getting used to. In addition, the spring is not worn, so sometimes it twitches a little when pressed. Was amazed it worked because it wasn't oriented to plug in like the original but had a long enough cable.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Can't remember

Fixed code P2138 for switches and relays

2009 Impala SS malfunctioned for a long time with no trouble codes, eventually it gave code P2138 and a stabilization warning. Investigation has shown that this part was a code and low level fix and lo and behold the machine is working fine again! Installation took 5 minutes and, as mentioned earlier, required no modifications. It's a good day for the Impala!

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other options

Ideal for switches and relays

I was a bit skeptical at first about buying an accelerator pedal online. But it was a company that I know that I bought parts from, but I personally bought the parts. The part just fits my car perfectly, I didn't have to cut the carpet as much as I read in another post. My mechanic shouldn't have done that. The only negative I would like to say is that the pedal doesn't seem to accelerate properly. When I go 75, it feels like I'm going 60. Not sure if the speed limit plug is set or something…

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
