Easy Peezy as a spare part

Significantly more expensive at the dealer. I think there were only 8 screws. For installation you will need a set of sockets and a special key. I posted the video on YouTube and made it myself.

OEM as advertised, perfect fit for my application

I'm only giving five points here because I expect it to work well unless I had another issue that caused the switch to not worked. The switch looks OEM and fits perfectly.

Replacing it yourself is not that easy.

It's not easy, but if you are patient and watch a YouTube video, you can save a lot of money by installing it yourself. Worked great after installing it on my 2011 Equinox!

Works best in switches and relays

I can confirm this works for the 2010 Equinox. Order the bezel part number mentioned in another review and it will be better than the original. Once you break off the plastic shell from the inside and remove the four 10mm nuts holding the chrome Chevy badging and rear camera, you'll simply unplug the connector. and turn them off. Works great and feels good, better than the original.

Open sesame at Switches & Relays

2010 Equinox The tailgate fell apart, the touchpad dry rotted and fell off. I bought it along with the plastic piece that snaps into the hatch and holds this switch, part number 22864934. After removing a torx head screw from the tailgate, I removed the two halves of the plastic panels from the hatch door and removed some 10mm. Nuts off the chrome piece that holds the switch in place. I was able to unplug the factory switch, plug in this new one, and reassemble. 15 minutes replaced and it works
