🚪 GM Genuine Parts 25664288: Driver Side Door Lock Actuator with Dome Lamp and Door Ajar Switch - High-Quality Replacement for Optimal Car Security Review

I had to do a bit of surgery on my old lock to remove the security sensor that was mounted on the side but I couldn't find any parts to order. It stuck perfectly to the outside of it. A year has passed. That works great. It had all the necessary details and they matched perfectly.

The unit does not have a manufacturer's mark, so how do I know it is a genuine Acdelco part? My part came without the plastic clips for the control rods. Yes, you will need to remove the door lock sensor and stick it back onto the replacement motor driver, you will need super glue and a pocket knife.

Not an exact replacement but I haven't. So this new part doesn't have all the electrical connections that the old one had. I was able to cut and glue one of the extra switches from the old piece to the new one. This I believe handles the interior lighting. The other one I couldn't install on the new actuator seems to give extra power. So when I get out of the truck and lock the doors, the radio can stay on. I have to remember to turn off the radio manually. However, this is an improvement.

Before ordering this part I was a bit hesitant because people said they had to glue a safety sensor to this part. I did it anyway and am glad I did as it was a direct replacement for a removed part. Our 2003 Monte Carlo didn't have a safety sensor on the actuator, so all we had to do was remove the original part and replace it with this one. Replacing the actuator solved our problems locking the car with the key fob. The car this part was used on is our 2003 Monte Carlo LS.

I give the product 5 stars because it is AC Delco and whoever I got it shipped it to me quickly and it works properly, thanks for that! Always correct though, that's not the right hand part of the 2001 4x4 Blazer. It fits the locking mechanism but only has 2 plugs to connect existing wires, my truck has 3. This is a difficult review as replacing this part did not solve my problem (the driver's door would not open fully). I was tired of having to roll down the window to open the door from the outside, so I ordered this. This fixed the problem for 1 day and then did the exact same thing as before the replacement.
