ACDelco 45D0135 Professional Rear Upper Ball Joint

ACDelco 45D0135 Professional Rear Upper Ball Joint 4 stars as only a week has passed since installation. So far it's holding up great on my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. Eliminated thumping noise at low speeds and when shifting from forward to reverse.

Pros
  • Pass extreme impact, wear and fatigue tests to ensure quality and durability
Cons
  • Requires a socket

DO NOT BUY: DO NOT QUICK

Replacing the rear upper ball joint with a Grand Cherokee is a big deal so do not buy this part. Yes, there's a lifetime warranty, but you don't want to do the job all over again just for the replacement to fail. I put mine in and it broke in less than three months: the rear axle fell off after the part started groaning and of course it's loose and worn just like the one I removed there. I would like to spend more money and buy something else

Pros
  • One piece forged body for stability
Cons
  • Something else

TERRIBLE RUN!

Horror! So far out of the box. The single nut will not fit the bolt on top of the ball joint. So I'll see if the old nut works. A new screw is screwed in 3 turns and then even stopped with a wrench while turning the thread in at least 40 turns. When turned, the nut goes up 1 thread, but only 1 full turn. So I will definitely update this POS as soon as it comes out, I expect the quality to be crappy and maybe last a month, and I also expect the flange is drilled wrong and doesn't fit. But I will

Pros
  • Coated for corrosion protection and durability
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something
