Perfect for fixing my Suburban sag

These shocks were the perfect solution to my 1998 Suburban rear sag. I installed and connected them in about 30 minutes. They replaced a set of Gabriel Ultra shocks that were fine but lacked alignment.

  • Sturdy construction

Not really designed for ALL vehicles

Top mounts are not really designed for a '97 Suburban. With a little ingenuity and manual dexterity, I was able to tighten the screws. The bottom screw and air ducts are pretty easy to install. My biggest problem was finding a place to fill the shocks with 150 pounds of air. I only weighed up to 90 pounds in most places.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Great part for the money!

Installed these in the back of my 97 Suburban K1500. I have about 50-60psi in them and they basically take the slack out of the back of the truck when we are towing our trailer and hauling a lot of extra weight. Installation is also quite easy, these cars are high enough that you don't even need a jack for this job.

Pros
  • Excellent Overall Performance

You "might " get lucky with these

Quite a tricky setup on my 99 Suburban as the shocks are much stronger than regular shocks. Shock absorbers are NOT adjustable at all after installation! Rigid as a board, even at 15 PSI. In addition, the rubber bushings in the brackets immediately fall out. Disappointed with this product. Stay Away From These $90 Shocks! 😞😓 I was probably still shocked! waste of money.

Pros
  • Heavy Duty Finish
Cons
  • Long Shipping

Update: had to return

Review updated. In the beginning they were great. After less than 2000 miles, however, they were no longer holding air. When I got to my destination 2 hours away, half the psi was gone. The warranty process was a nightmare. Be prepared to phone back and forth when Amazon's return window closes. Ac Delco will say Amazon is responsible. Revane will say AC Delco is responsible. It is best to contact the curator immediately. Chief csr is incompetent Old review. I regularly tow an RV and a boat. Not

Installing the 95 GMC Yukon is difficult.

Love the adjustable dampers. I can increase the ride height of my Yukon by an inch or two by towing a trailer. One thing I would like to say is that during the install on my 95 GMC Yukon they had a lot of clearance issues. The driver's side shock mounting pocket is incredibly close to the frame, leaving no room for tools to reach the bolt head. I welded a nut onto the shock mount and installed a bolt with a lock washer on top of the mount. See photo. There were no such problems on the passenger

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • So-so
