Description of ๐Ÿš— Enhance Vehicle Performance with ACDelco Specialty 519-30 Rear Spring Assisted Shock Absorber

Constant rate front coil springs can help improve stability and maintain ride height. Variable rate rear coil springs provide 500 lbs (per pair) of load capacity. [Not to exceed vehicle GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating). Product does not increase payload.]. Seamless Drawn-Over-Mandrel (DOM) tubing decreases internal component wear, resulting in longer service life. Greater heat dissipation, improved cooling and reduction in fade for continued performance. Super finished, chromed, piston rod provides anti-corrosion properties, a more consistent wear surface, proper seal lubrication, and longer product life. Real-world tested to ensure that the shocks will fit intended vehicles and applications.

Streamlined ride, maintained ground clearance when towing.

Easy to install with existing equipment. The course was slightly boosted, and rear ground clearance was maintained when towing. No more wallowing on big bumps and dips in the road at high speed. More stable when towing or when loading the body. 2016 GMC Sierra All Terrain replaces OEM ranchos at the rear.

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Large and bulky

The damper is broken and is now making noises like crazy

The first week was excellent but now the rubber seal between the spring and the base plate has worked on both leaving a terrible knock, squeak and noise. The ride is stiffer than Ranch shocks, but softer when loaded. they still drag/carry. But the drop-down rubber damper on both is just awful.

Pros
  • The price is excellent
Cons
  • I'll write later

Removed after a month

I installed them on my 2011 Silverado 4x4. Also changed the front suspension. The spring was so stiff that I had to use a jack to compress it enough to fit the mounting bracket. They were very noisy when I ran into a bump. I've driven over 2000km since installing it. At freeway speeds, the truck bounced as if the suspension had completely worn out. After I got back from my trip I bought another set of rear shock absorbers and the problems went away.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • disappeared

Really great prize for Chevy truck boys!

Quality item. Installation like a normal shock absorber. This is a TRUE coilover kit with factory mounts. Padded very well in my 2006 GMC Sierra Ex. Cabin 2WD. These coilovers have a fairly large diameter. If you have twin 2.5" tailpipes like me, this is VERY tight depending on how your pipes are bent. Doesn't look normal. I use a BFGoodrich All Terrain ko2 size 270/70/r17 with original 17 inch wheels. I have a Rough Country alignment kit up front, shocks and springs. I have these coilovers inโ€ฆ

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

First Look - Replacement Parts

Upon arrival I opened the box to inspect the dampers. I was very impressed with the design, although I noticed a few things that amazed me. The top of the shock where the spring rests is, well, plastic. They also didn't come with nuts and bolts. what gives ? The spring itself is practically not stretched. In doing so, I can squeeze the spring and actually place my finger in between, release the spring and not worry about losing my finger. I hope that once installed the appearance or my concerns

Pros
  • Surprising
Cons
  • Some Faults
