Description of ACDelco 6K905 Professional V Ribbed Serpentine

Made with temperature and crack resistant EPDM rubber for a long life and quiet, dependable performance. Is the belt of choice by professional technicians, lasting 50% to 60% longer than retail belts (low priced belts sold at car part stores). Its precision dimension control of rib profile transmits load efficiently throughout the accessory belt drive systems (ABDS) allowing components to operate at optimum levels. Able to operate and accept misalignment in the accessory belt drive systems (ABDS) far greater than other serpentine belts. Its flexible construction allows the belt to withstand billions of topside and backside bends resulting in a long belt life.

Disappointing Quality and Performance

Automotive enthusiasts beware! After trying this product, I was shocked at the poor quality and performance. While the price seemed reasonable, the lower cost came at a high expense to my vehicle's functionality. The only positive attribute was its ease of installation; however, this benefit was greatly overshadowed by its subpar performance. Save your time and money - steer clear of this product.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Poor performance and quality.

Fits just perfect.: Serpentine

This belt looked a little longer than the old belt I took out but than I installed it was actually tight. This was the first time I've installed a serpentine belt. Easy to fix.

Pros
  • Can handle and accept misalignment in aftermarket belt drive systems (ABDS) that are much larger than other serpentine belts
Cons
  • Something else

Works as expected - Belt

My friend replaced the alternator on my 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix and said it didn't would happen. Bad idea replacing the belt as it has over 125,000 miles on it. It's been in my car for a little over a month now and it's working perfectly. There is no creaking or anything like that. I'll update the review if it crashes or something.

Pros
  • Flexible design allows the belt to take billions of bends top and rear, extending the life of the belt
Cons
  • Socket required
