Do you think ElCheapo will be cheaper?

Have you checked valve performance lately? My GMC is approaching 300,000 miles. That's why I regularly use this oil filter and quality oil.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Damaged

Too restrictive for GM cars and trucks with AFM.

Too limited for GM cars and trucks with AFM lifts. This kept our engine working every day and replacing the filter with the stock filter. one is ok now.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Probably the best oil filter money can buy

Very durable and high quality oil filter. Compare it to any more expensive premium oil filter. There is definitely no plastic in this filter and you can tell from its weight alone that it is very heavy. Fits right on my 2008 Silverado with 5.3 engine.

Pros
  • good stuff
Cons
  • not fancy

This is the exact original filter for my '13 M6.

This is definitely the stock filter for my '13 M6 Grand Sport Corvette. Getting the R version is important as dry sump engines have very high oil pressures that can be too high for a standard filter. I have no idea why Revain is telling me this is incorrect and I see no way to correct their incorrect information.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Almost never

I just like it better.

For my 2017 Chevy SS I switched from Amzoil to Royal Purple which is cheaper. But one day they were taken to the head of the technical department while I bought a car on the spot. He suggested the Ultra Guard because they put him on the ZO6 Corvette. Micron filtration is about the same as Amzoil and Royal Purple, but flow is better. Better flow, better LUBRICATION.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Long Life Oil Filter

I use this filter on my 2008 Chevy Silverado 2500 with a 6.0 liter petrol engine. This truck is often used; empty, loaded, towing a 10 kg trailer, clearing snow, long city and highway journeys. This is a very durable heavy duty filter that does an excellent job of keeping the oil clean. And the best part is that you can buy it for less money than lower quality filters. For those who care, I also use Pennzoil Platinum Full Synthetic 5W30. (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M6YFM58/?coliid=IMM1FP49J2YS…

Pros
  • Good
Cons
  • Faulty

Wrong filter for 5.3 fluctuating oil pressure

I have a 2010 Silverado with 5.3 and changed the oil a few months ago with this filter recommended for my engine at the time I have installed this oil filter and 6 quarts of 5w 30 synthetic oil and my oil pressure started to drop between 15 and 18 pounds at idle, going from about 35 to 40 with a fram filter, AC or Bosch, I replaced the sensor oil pressure and strainer and my oil dropped from about 50 pounds to 15 pounds in about an hour's ride. I freaked out then I started reading some stories…

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Great filter Installed on my 2010 Camaro SS (L99)

Installed on my 2010 Camaro SS (L99). They are not listed as official parts for the Camaro LS3/L99 but fit perfectly and work great. This filter was recommended to me by some members of a large Camaro forum as an alternative to the regular Delco PF48 which has some plastic internals. I wanted something with a thicker steel body and full metal innards and it fit the bill. The only downside I can think of is that it doesn't have a bolt welded to the end like the K&N oil filter I used before. This

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Can't remember
