Ideal for 4 " PVC pipe.

I needed to drive 4" PVC into a plastic water butt. 4 1/4 is the perfect size and it cuts well. At least through plastic. Haven't used wood yet. It's a bi-metal blade, so think of it as the equivalent of the black drill bits that come with an electric drill.

Pros
  • Hole saws
Cons
  • Some small things

Do not reverse

This is a great hole saw. My only complaint is that the center shaft only screws into the hole saw so you can't drill backwards or come loose. Other hole saws are bolted with a nut so you can drive backwards. Not this one. This is useful if you want to start the hole in reverse order to minimize stripping. Nothing bad, but it would be nice. I just pressed lightly on the drywall and it worked to open the hole.
