I hooked this up in the wall between my Yamaha RX-V379 and an Acoustic Audio HDS10 passive subwoofer. I had to turn up every SW and LFE gain just to get a response with the extra volume turned on. Yes, the crossover is fully open. Yes, my speakers are set to small. Wow what a crap. How can I put 0 stars! I read other reviews and thought beforehand I'd give it a try as it suits the needs I currently have. Purchased to power a wall mounted subwoofer (recommended product). Worst purchase. When I opened the package I knew it wouldn't last long. As I thought it took less than 2 hours. Worked for 1 hour while watching a movie, then there was a smell of burnt electricity everywhere. The subwoofer went off and that was it. Light weight is poorly ventilated. Some cons: IIRC, the LFE/Normal switch seems to have been swapped and works in reverse. Not that it's impractical, but I don't think it's surprising for a cheap amp in a not-so-popular amp class.
