I wanted to try something better than resin for sculpting. The art plaster was great. Much easier to manage and clean. All I needed was water. Forms install fairly quickly. It is much easier to modify a plaster mold than a resin mold. In addition, it is much more pleasant to paint.

I returned this product because it came in a bag mix which doesn't even explain the mix ratio! It simply means: mix, pour, done. The only useful information on the packaging is a safety warning advising of irritation issues (yep! me). He also advises that it should be kept away from children and pets, so keep that in mind for proper use.

I rarely review products but I have to rate this one because it is so good. How could this be so different from Plaster of Paris? You would be amazed. First, it flows beautifully. Very durable and with many details. More importantly, it has excellent adhesion to porous material. And it can be diluted, colored (universal colors or pure pigments) and layered without flaking or becoming brittle. Perfect patch. Strange perfume smell, may be uncomfortable for some (other patches I've bought also have this smell but not as strong). Castings are harder than regular plaster, harden faster and don't "peel" like plaster, BUT they are much more brittle. Thinner castings broke simply by lifting.
